St. Teresa of Avila was a nun in the 1500s. She founded many convents and authored many spiritual poems and writings. One of my favorite writings from her is, “Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”
When I first finished reading this graceful writing, I hit my knees in how genuine God’s love is for us. Our Father loves us so much to place His power through you; through your good deeds, through the light you carry and through the love you give to others.
My prayer for this source you are looking at, is to show the genuine me. I desire to spread the gospel as I am guided by our Father. Just as the Matthew chapter five, verses thirteen through sixteen translates to, spread the word of our Father as salts flavor spreads and as light spreads in a room.
I do not wish to act as if I am all well and I have it all correct. I want to show my faults and what I grapple with. I aspire to wake up each morning and be grateful. I aspire to move throughout my day and walk with Jesus. However, my aspirations do not mean I will do it every day, some days I will hit my knees. And that is okay to, God loves all His children. As you travel through this page, explore the thoughts I hold, and view my pictures I provide and Pray. Please enjoy this journey as we travel together.
With all my love,
Al
